Mark Lynn practices in a wide range of transactional areas including real estate, corporate matters, business transactions and negotiation of commercial agreements. Mark has represented clients in commercial real estate matters such as the acquisition, financing and development of office buildings, warehouses and commercial and residential condominium projects, as well as the negotiation of construction, architectural and engineering contracts, preparation of commercial leases and closing of 1031 exchanges. He also has represented or assisted hundreds of residential purchasers, sellers, borrowers and lenders in the purchase, sale and refinance of residential properties. Mark also has extensive experience in corporate matters and business transactions, including the formation and organization of business entities and preparation of organizational documents, as well as coordinating the purchase and sale of businesses. Mark has also reviewed and negotiated commercial agreements concerning hotel operating systems, property management, equipment leasing, cellular towers, agreements not to compete, dealers, distribution arrangements, brokers and other agreements. Having assisted a broad range of clients in myriad types of transactions, Mark can quickly diagnose issues for his clients and move matters forward efficiently and effectively.
Representative Matters:
Represented condominium developer in construction and development of more than 1000 units of residential, commercial and hotel condominiums in Fort Lauderdale and Downtown Miami;
Assisted developer in acquisition and development of 330 unit residential condomimium development in Naples;
Assisted developer in Riviera Beach in the acquisition, construction and development of a warehouse condominium;
Represented doctor organization in the acquisition, financing and development of an ambulatory surgical center in Deerfield Beach;
Obtained governmental approvals and then negotiated and closed sale of 200 unit mobile home park in Tampa;
Represented purchaser in acquisition of RV park in Sarasota, including completion of a reverse 1031 exchange;
Drafted loan documents for and closed on financing of single family housing development on behalf of South Florida based financial institution;
Represented Fort Lauderdale based shopping center developer in refinance and negotiation of leases with tenants.
Education and Affiliations:
Mark received his BA from University of Pennsylvania in 1992,and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996, where he was also a member of the University of Miami Law Review. He is active in a number of professional organizations including the Real Property, Trust and Probate Section of the Florida Bar and the Southeast Florida division of American Red Magen David for Israel. He also served as general counsel for a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the renovation and revitalization of Elizabeth Virrick Park in Miami, Florida. Mark is a licensed Real Estate Broker and a member of the Southeast Florida Board of Realtors.
Mark is a devoted husband and father of two beautiful daughters.
